Re: Jake released by the Pats

I still question why the Bengals released Jake to begin with. Every observer knew Finley wasn't going to be a viable replacement for Burrow. Not sure if Jake is the solution, but he is worth a try for sure. I remember at the time that at least one Bengal beat writer expressed the opinion that Jake ...

Re: Jake released by the Pats

Joe Burrow out for the rest of the season. I would speculate that the Bengals are going to grab Jake off of the Pats practice squad. They know him and he knows their system. If the Pats are serious about Jake it is time to put him on the roster. Of course that would mean releasing either Stedman or ...

Re: Fall sports

Meanwhile there is a full schedule of college football games every Saturday. Why is that?

Re: Jake released by the Pats

They resigned him, just money shuffling... I must say I was surprised at Jake being released but I guess that explains it. Hoyer and Stedman "know" the offensive system but what does that matter? They both are terrible! Seriously Jake should be given a shot as the back up QB. What is there to lose?...

Re: Eric Blake takes title at Hillacious Half-Marathon

I believe he also won the Mount Washington 7.2 mile race to the top last June 2019 (It wasn’t held this year). Eric is a beast!
Yes he won the Mt Washington race in 2019 and it was the fourth time (2006, 2008, 2013, 2019).
Eric is a Central alum.

Jake released by the Pats

Jake Dolegala was released from the Patriots practice squad on Oct 12. Don't know if any other team is interested. Seems a shame that other than appearances in two exhibition games for the Bengals he has not even had a chance. https://www.patriots.com/news/patriots-sign-lb-cassh-maluia-to-the-practi...

Re: Next Season

But at my annual physical two weeks ago the doctor stated "when you come back for your physical next October, we will still be wearing masks."
Oh you are being a pessimist. Did you ever think that he may have been referring to Halloween?

Re: Next Season

Thanks for the info. Tough break, I guess we can't blame DM for Methnani going pro. But it is certainly going to hurt the play in the paint, and yes I think that we are going to see Reed get a lot of minutes at the four.

Re: Next Season

What is going on here? -why is Central at only eleven scholarships? no incoming freshman! is that because of the virus? are there other NEC schools below the allowed 13 scholarships? are there other NEC schools with no incoming freshman? If this is not a league wide problem, then why us? also: -the ...

Re: jake cut from bengals

The Pats better put him on the roster. After a week or two there are going to be QB injuries or flops and some team is going to pick Jake off the practice squad. Anyway, this is great fit for Jake, you know Belichick does not care about what round you were drafted or what school you played for. He i...

Re: jake cut from bengals

Shoreline, Agreed. Here is my prediction; -The Pats sign Jake -Jake makes the team as the 3rd QB, goodbye Brian Hoyer thank you for your service -7 minutes and 32 seconds into the 1st Q of the 3rd game, Cam Newton gets hurt from a hit while running for a 1st down -Jake gets the nod and leads the Pat...

Why is HS sports safe, or has an acceptable risk, and college sports does not?

Re: Fall sports

Well it was a nice try (resuming sports), but this was inevitable. it was the safe decision. Given the present environment, attempting to resume fall sports would have a huge downside and not much of an upside.
