Bengals bench Dalton. Ryan Finley will start.

Will Jake be getting some playing time soon?

Certainly if Finley falters or gets hurt, Jake should be right there, but they are likely to go back to Dalton. I think he's got a better chance of seeing the field next year as the #2 behind Finely when they release Dalton.

In any case, it will nice to see Jake "active" on the roster for a few more weeks.

If they release Dalton, they will have one of top picks and will draft another QB. IMO Jake's best bet in Finley play porrley and they put Jake in to see what they have going into the draft

Yes that would be the scenario where Jake could show his stuff. But I wonder if this O line is so bad that any QB is doomed?
The Bengals are in a tanking contest with the Dolphins for the 1st pick and I think that either one will take a QB.
Perhaps Jake will wind up on another team, if he is still around (I think he will be) next year.

From the NBC Sports website:

Note that a few of the comments indicate an interest in playing Jake.

There is a .673% chance that Dolegala is good. That’s too high for my liking. Let’s leave Finley in and grab the top pick. Don’t Bungle this!

When should Jake Dolegala get a shot over Ryan Finley?

I personally would prefer to see him hold a clip board, learn, and then compete for the job in next year's camp.
The Bengals are terrible and throwing a young QB into the fire with a bad O line is not good for his psyche.
And I definitely don't want to see Jake playing against the Pats on week 15. That defense has destroyed several young QB's this year.
Although I suspect he may be playing in that game as I expect Finley to falter, and that is not necessarily all his fault.

Either Cincy doesn't think Jake is ready now, or they are grooming him to be the backup for next year.

Bengals are going back to Andy Dalton as starting quarterback

It will be interesting to see if they draft a QB with what looks like will be the #1 pick.

So looks like the Bengals took the number one (?) pick on a QB, does this end Jake's journey?

I think it is unlikely that the Bengals will carry three QB's again. Jake is probably going to have to compete for #2. I think that if he is cut someone will pick him up. It is a low risk signing for any team.
