Homecoming vs Bryant 10.19.19

Post by newbritainite »

Who is going to Homecoming?

CCSU hosts Bryant on Saturday and it looks as if the weather will be perfect for tailgating and enjoying a classic football game on our home field.

CCSU has come a long way and we have many things to be proud of this season....5-1 record, nearly winning at FBS ECU, and our newly named head coach MCCARTHY.

With Bryant struggling on the field this season, CCSU is posed to be able to remind us of more reasons to celebrate and to enjoy our home stadium.

These kinds of games scare me.

No one, not the fans, players or coaches, should be over confident. Remember, our guys were huge underdogs heading into Ypsilanti.

Now that we are in the NEC part of the season there can be no let up.
We would like to run the schedule but even if we lose one, it is not unrealistic to think that the Duquesne game will decide the NEC's NCAA representative.
Anyway, I don't like being an overwhelming favorite. I will be happy with a 3 point win and no serious injuries.

This is why I say we need to route for SHU hard. we'd be a game up on them with a win. Then it would come down to a tie breaker on that last game? Assuming they both win out. Ahead of myself I know but the rest of the NEC looks reeeeeeallly bad...

What an awesome game for Winchester!
Who, last year. would have thunk that we'd lose an NFL caliber QB and replace him with a better one?
Now I am not saying that Winchester goes to the next level but for the college game he is one hell of a QB!

Have to say that was quite the easy win for the Blue Devils today. Only issue is RMU and Duquesne won as well and were in a three way tie for first. Looks like this season comes down to the last three weeks. They play each other before we play them both. Hopefully both teams get a loss before then.

RMU or Duquesne getting one loss does not mean too much. Of course RMU and Duquesne have to play each other too.
For an example, if Duquesne loses a game they still would win the league if they beat a previously undefeated Central.
If RMU, Duquesne, and Central all have one loss then that will complicate the tiebreaker scenario, especially if each had a loss to one of the three.
Still, I will be rooting for them to lose every game!
The best scenario is for Central to win out, and the only way you are going to do that is by preparing for each opponent one week at a time!
