Re: 2020 Non-conference schedule
Apparently there is some presidents meeting tomorrow in the NEC. Guessing they will cave w/ all this added pressure. Is the NCAA allowing these kids another year of eligibility? I still feel an NEC only schedule should be played, take precautions, lower attendance and follow all the rules. Guess basketball is next. Unbelievable.

If they don't play, within the current rules, they can be red shirted. So yes, I do not see why there would be any problem, if they choose, to have another year of eligibility. Is the NCAA allowing these kids another year of eligibility?

So what time can we expect the no season announcement?

Kicked the can down the road. Why not just cancel at this point. Will reconvene by Oct 1 but no other info was given.

Disappointing, but understandable decision.
This still allows team activities and practices, which is needed for football since we lost Spring and Summer camps.
I doubt we see football this year, but maybe we get a shortened NEC-only schedule for soccer and volleyball in Oct. and Nov.
The next big decision is regarding Winter sports (basketball).

Re: 2020 Non-conference schedule
So athletes lose a year of eligibility now? The communication was very vague. Reconvening by October 1 is for winter sports?? If so why not say fall is cancelled because if the intent is to have practice only and no games, what’s the point for anyone???
Re: 2020 Non-conference schedule
Just read the FDU AD’s response and he alludes to potential fall sports in the spring..again vague communication by the NEC...why??????
