Who are the candidates for the QB job?
Is it going to be someone already on the roster or from outside?

Re: Wednesday 2.5.20 National Signing Day
I think the 2 QBs on the roster have a lot of potential to take over in 2020 - coach seemed to be positive on both guys for different reasons. However, they are both young and inexperienced. I'm fine handing over the job to a Soph if coach thinks they can get the job done, but I fully expect a lot of growing pains from either guy. I also have no problem getting a JUCO or FBS transfer to compete for the job. Basically, Spring training camp will be an open competition for the starting QB job.
I think the recent success of the program should really help recruiting. It would be nice to bring in a number of high-profile in-state kids - players in the mold of Tyshawn James (Middletown), Tajik Bagley (Ansonia), Joe Zoppi (Shelton), J'Von Brown (Norwich), Conner Mignone (Redding). Really think we can get guys straight up against UConn recruiting right now.
Of course, we also need to shake the trees and pull in some impact recruits from NY, NJ, Mass., Florida - up and down the east Coast from Maine to Miami. I think 2 NCAA playoffs appearances in the last 3 seasons, and our Top-25 ranking really helps recruiting out of our local market. This should also make us competitive for more FBS transfer from the NCAA portal.
