Gotta give a shout out to the lady Devils. 1-0 over UMass!

Great way to start the college athletic season!

Heartbreaking loss for the ladies at Storrs. Up 2-0 over the Huskies, CCSU gives up 3 unanswered goals :( Still, this looks like a strong squad for Central, and I'm sure they will revenge this loss soon enough!

Interesting comment from the Yale coach.

I would love to see the gals get a second shot at the EE in post season...where it would mean more. :-)

Unlikely to happen this year. UConn is now just 1-5, with their only win the late comeback vs. Central. The Huskies won't make the NCAAs unless they win the American Athletic Conference tourney to end the season.

CCSU looks to be very impressive so far, with the blemish at Storrs the only real disappointment to date:

W, 1-0 vs. UMass (A-10)
L, 2-3 at UConn (AAC)
T, 1-1 vs. Siena (MAAC)
W, 2-0 vs.Yale (Ivy)
W, 3-1 at Temple (AAC)
W, 1-0 vs. URI (A-10)

Lafayette (Patriot), Maine, and Seton Hall (Big East) are the final 3 non-conference games.

The great season continues. Congrats to the women's team this afternoon against FDU.

Big game, the NEC championship in women's soccer this Sunday, Nov. 4 at 1 pm on the soccer field.

That'll be followed by the New Britain Symphony Orchestra concert at Welte at 3 pm!

Unfortunately, I couldn’t make the game but I watched it on Front Row.

I’ll try to make Sunday’s game...and the concert. I’ve heard the symphony before and they are quite good!

Well...the ladies sure didn’t catch a break playing at a #1 seed Georgetown. An upset, of course, would be sweet.
