Central Connecticut Athletics Enters Partnership with Peak Sports MGMT

Post by J.J. »

Awsome news! This looks similar to what a lot of major programs do to promte their brand and maximize revenue. UConn has had a similar deal with IMG for years.

Never heard of Peak Sports, but I'm sure this is the type of small company that will put the effort in and help expand our brand. We are a small program, but their first client in New England. They have a client list of similar types of programs - Central Arkansas, Murry State, Eastern Illinois.

Looking forward to seeing how this works out, but I'm very optomistic!
Peak Sports MGMT announces a new partnership with the Athletics Department at Central Connecticut State University.

Peak Sports will manage and sell all sponsorship inventory that is available with the Blue Devils. This includes broadcasting rights, venue signage, program advertising, digital and web content, game sponsorships and other special events.

"This partnership between the CCSU Foundation and Peak Sports represents the first step into a new era of sponsor engagement and revenue generation at CCSU," Director of Athletics Brian Barrio said. "Peak Sports is the right fit for Central Connecticut because we share a culture of integrity and innovation – with that in mind, we are very proud to be Peak Sports' first partner in the Northeast. We look forward to an exciting and successful relationship that sets a new standard for programs of our scale in New England."

CCSU is the northeastern-most property that Peak Sports MGMT has acquired. The Blue Devils are proud members of the Northeast Conference. Peak Sports MGMT has announced Cody Collins as the new General Manager for Blue Devils Sports Properties. Wyatt Prue has been hired as the Account Executive for the property.

"We are excited to partner with the Blue Devils," Ryan Holloway, President, Peak Sports MGMT, said. "What a great program to be aligned with as we begin a new venture into New England. Brian Barrio is a great leader and we look forward to working closely with him and his staff to help take CCSU to the next level."

"Peak Sports will help CCSU expand its brand throughout Connecticut and all of southern New England," Barrio said. "This partnership will help shine a brighter light on the incredible Division I athletics program Blue Devil student-athletes and coaches have built, right here in the heart of Connecticut. And it will help CCSU give those student-athletes the resources they need to keep making an impact in competition, in the classroom, and in the community."

And my first request for this new partnership is simple:

Find sponsorships for radio/streaming audio broadcasts for all men's basketball games (home and away) with Bruce and Marc!

Getting all CCSU men's basketball games back on WPOP, ESPN Radio, or WTIC would be fantastic. That is exactly what IMG did for UConn moving them from WTIC to ESPN.
