Sadly, Dr. Miller passed away today (4/2). IMHO, he was a good president having CCSU's best interest at heart and did a lot of good things for our alma mater.

I was upset to hear of his passing. Jack was a good president and an avid CCSU Athletics supporter. He loved him some hoops and football.

The Central Family will host a celebration of the life of CCSU President Emeritus John “Jack” W. Miller on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 2 p.m. Dr. Miller passed away on April 2, 2018, at the age of 70. He served as CCSU’s 12th president for 11 years before he retired in September 2016.
In a nod to President Miller's loyal support of Blue Devils football, the celebration will take place in the Kaiser parking lot. All are welcome to attend and stay for the 5 p.m. football game against Columbia. President Miller's wife, Barbara, and members of his family also will attend the celebration.
Registration is required for entry to this event. Please register by noon on Thursday, Sept. 13. For more information, contact Courtney McDavid at (860) 832-3003 or mcdavidc@ccsu.edu.
