Yeah...my white gotea and the fact that I got my BA at CCSC shows it. BB...area cordoned off...site being prepped for excavation. (The fact that there is a sign on the cordon tape saying "construction area for new academic building" kinda gave me a clue).

That's great news.

I don't like to complain but it would be great for the CCSU website to be updated (re status).....pictures etc.

What is the status of the new residence hall and new northeast dining facility? They are slated to begin construction this Fall 2011 as the academic building....

No idea about the other buildings NB...but as far as t he CCSU website goes, they are notorious for not updating it. They still have the Arute/soccer field project scheduled for completion this year.

Isn't the new Public Safety Building already under construction? How is that going?

Paul Schlickmann said in a post on his blog that the Arute Project was onschedule and would be completed this fall. Given the way it looks right now is th at realistic?

On 8/24 at 11:00...our illustrious and almighty governor will be on campus for the ground breaking ceremony for the new academic building. All are welcome (I think).

The last time we had a groundbreaking ceremony was when Rowland was governor...how long ago was that?

No matter what anyone may think of Rowland...he did more for the CSU system than any governor in recent history.

Will this be located on Wells Street & Cedar?

BTW, it's suprising that CCSU doesn't own the parcel across from Elmer's, next to East Hall? It looks terrible and would be a great site for a building....

Is the outdoor atchletic facility complete? After a short drive off the highway last week. I noticed an area that looked like a pile of dirt in the middle of the complex. Is the track done? Why are there no updated pictures on the univerisity's website? As a fan, I want to see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What about the new academic building progress or the Barnard renovations? What about the new police station?
Any status on the new residence hall to be located on Ella Grasso Blvd? Not to complain or anything but it would be great to see an updated website!!!!

Since you brought it up NB, is the library expansion still on the table?

What about a new fieldhouse and the East Campus (now the Busway has begun)?

I was just going to comment on that issue. I bike by CCSU almost daily and NOTHING seems to be going on with completing the running track or the soccer seating...and it's prime construction season. Even during construction, I have seen no more than three guys working.

Now...it looks like everything has stopped...Again!

But dont worry...Memorial Stadium is being dismantled in favor of a new BB practice facility...which will be done before our track is finished.

This afternoon, I spoke to a friend who said that footings are in for the stands on the west side of the soccer field. The stands are supposedly being manufactured now. After they are in, the track will be put in. It looks pretty tight in terms of everything fitting.

It would have been a neat idea to have seen the progress on the web site, but, someone must have gotten nervous about the possibility of there being a lack of progress. It is simply unbelievable and inconceivable that we're still waiting for the athletic field project to be completed. It seems that we've been waiting for at least 5-6 years!

In my opinion, if one of you were to "ask the AD" at www.ccsubluedevils.com, we might get an answer to the series of questions asked in this thread.

That's because we have been waiting 5-6 years!
