Re: Now let's talk about the team lineup.

And even if we just focus on the on-court stuff, it was obvious there was a lack of preparation, direction, and discipline - a culture set by the head coach. I don't know enough to comment on particular players and I wouldn't even suggest we had many "bad apples" or whatever. Every coach at CCSU ha...

FCS Playoffs in the Spring

Anybody else watch the playoff game last night b/w SIU and SDSU? It was like a bit of a breath of fresh air... Seeing the energy the game brought... Wish Sacred Heart made it past last weekend....

Re: Big Board!

I can't get anyone to crack, but I've heard the deal is being finalized. Yes, I really think we will have news very soon and we will not be disappointed when it is announced. Just read this... That's encouraging... Gotta mean AT LEAST by the end of this week (no later... If so, that's downright sha...

Re: Big Board!

UConn has no impact on us. I think Connecticut HR policies and collective bargaining rules are the biggest hurdles. I imagine some CCSU reviews (Admin/Legal) also eat up some time. Again, I'm not making excuses, but the "official" timeline began on 4/15. Anything done before that was preparatory in...

Re: Big Board!

I didn't know Luke Murray was let go by Louisville last month... but he's always been a guy considered to be on the verge of becoming a head coach somewhere. I know he's not in the running here, but, I think if he gets the opportunity now, he's gonna be a pretty darn good option for whereever that i...

Re: Big Board!

Sellers getting bet hard right before post time! And my sources are telling me that this horse race is looking very chalky. Pat Sellers 3-5 Steve Curran 5-2 Grant Billmeier 3-1 Kelvin Jefferson 5-1 TJ Sorrentine 7-1 I wonder if this one's on the gambling board at Winners in Milford????? ...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2021

I thought this was interesting; new Penn State coach Micah Shrewsberry hired Brian Snow, previously a recruiting analyst for 247 Sports, as his Director of Recruiting. https://twitter.com/PennStateMBB/status/1385288026641797127?s=20 THIS is what I've been talking about. No, CCSU won't have the budg...

Is Kelvin Jefferson related to Lenny? They are both from Norwalk and they both have similar Twitter statements.

I couldn’t find anything in either bio.

Re: Time to Start Naming Names...

There's your argument for Jefferson. He's literally coached (at the prep level) players that went to plenty of D1 schools (High Major Schools) AND some are now in the NBA.. in fact plenty have had a taste of professional basketball (whether in the NBA or overseas)... He gets today's kids... one othe...

Re: Time to Start Naming Names...

I have it on decent authority that the 4 names are Sellers, Curran, Sorrentine, and Jefferson. I'm nearly 100% confident on Curran and Sellers, closer to 70% on the other two. I still feel like there's a chance Kinsgley and/or Donnelly remain involved, but I'm just not sure right now. Jefferson is ...

Re: CCSU MBB Coaching Search

I was rooting hard for you guys to look into childhood/neighborhood friend Kelvin Jefferson (now Head Coach at D2 Gannon) because of all he's done and who he coached (at S. Kent, prep school up state, which has produced quite a bit of NBA talent), but I don't think he'd want to come back here for t...
