Re: 2021 schedule

Thanks for the info J.J. I suspected something like that was the case. Doesn't the Yale Bowl seat 60+ thousand? No doubt that they regularly get a full house #-o Looks jam packed for the 2019 Cornell game below: yale bowl 2019.JPG It would be nice to go to the Yale Bowl, get paid, and come out with ...

Re: 2021 schedule

Would love to hand UConn and Yale a loss.
Yes, and I am sure Southern Conn is thinking the same about us! Better win that one first.

Oh, is Yale a home and home? or are they paying us not to have to come to Arute?

Wow! 830 wins, 14 NCAA tournaments, 5 final fours, and a D2 national championship.
RIP Coach Phelan.

Re: Jake Watch

For an undrafted free agent who never played in a regular season game, Jake is doing quite well hanging around the NFL.
He has gotten good reviews while at the Pats and Bengals yet was never given a chance.
Maybe the Packers will give him a serious look during the exhibition games.

Re: Recruiting under Sellers off to a good start...

Odd to me that he'd be looking at another wing. McLaughlin is a shooter, and Sellers clearly values shot making, but I would have thought he'd turn his attention toward size (and perhaps the Portal). Yes, one would think that the focus would be on getting a couple of bigs. The only reason I can thi...

Re: Recruiting under Sellers off to a good start...

Am I missing something here? Verbal Commits has Tre Mitchell listed as enrolled at Central Connecticut. And he is not in their list of the Transfers.

Re: Recruiting under Sellers off to a good start...

Hegel Augustin had impressive stats at the D2 level. Looking at the highlight tape he looks quick and can shoot threes (though highlight tapes don't show misses). I expect that Sellers is bringing him in as a Senior (or is he a graduate?) transfer because he expects to get serious minutes from Augus...

Re: Welcome home Pat Sellers!

Hamburger was a major influence on FDU's rise to prominence since Herenda took over. It's probably a longshot, but if Sellers could figure out a way to get Hamburger up to New Britain, it would be HUGE. My hunch is that Sellers has already assembled his staff. Its just that it has to go through the...

Re: NEC Playoffs

The southern and southeastern universities have better programs not because they play more games but rather because they attract the top players, especially pitchers. Let's face it if you are a highly recruited high school bb player do you want to play in a climate where spring is more like winter o...

Is this a deja vu?
What a great performance! They had to win 3 in a row with two against Bryant, talk about digging down deep for that something extra. 2019 was amazing but to repeat it is an astounding feat. Another NCAA bid for Coach Hickey. Congratulations!

Re: Welcome home Pat Sellers!

Maybe the State of CT needs to finally do what is probably overdue... Cutting ties with some of the Administrative lifers. Now that is a really good idea. That is why we have assembled a committee to assess the feasibility of such an effort. Their report when finished will be filed in triplicate se...

Re: 2021 Season

Its pretty fair. Bryant beat Central 2 out of 3. Also, Bryant had 4 games with last place MSM but Central had 6! It could be argued that MSM had the toughest schedule in the NEC....that's the bad news, the really bad news is that they went 0-10! Lets say Bryant played an additional 5 games and went ...
