Re: I guess no news is good news???

Looks like we have a new Director of Basketball Operations… Matt Trudeau… I think this is a great job by Pat. Matt was a Team Manager under DM, works his butt off. I'm happy he hired an alum as DOBO. Blue Devils taking care of Blue Devils. I have no idea if he'll be able to hire a 3rd assistant. Bu...

Re: I guess no news is good news???

Not even a mention that he’s an alum/former player? I guess we aren’t important enough for a little research. To be fair, he ranked all 358 teams in D1. Norlander is one of my favorite CBB people. Local guy, went to WCSU. He's getting clicks for his Top 50, not his bottom 50. I wouldn't do much res...

Re: I guess no news is good news???

5-13. 😑 Hopefully we will surprise a few folks this year. Glad Pat is here to rescue this but still so mad at DM for blowing us the heck up. 😡 Sure, that makes sense. Quite frankly, Pat could have tried to reload this thing via the Transfer Portal. I wont speak for him, but I'd be willing to bet th...

Re: I guess no news is good news???

Anybody in the know as to how the team is coming along? I know it's Patrick's first year, but it seems like he's got a few pieces to work with.... Pieces that may bring more wins then the average # of wins per year DM had during his tenure... Practice just started on 10/1. There are no media outlet...

I've never stepped foot in Maine. I had no idea UMaine was in northern Maine near the border. 5 hours+ from my house  !

I take it back.

Re: 2021-22 Non-Conference Schedule

I think my favorite aspect of this schedule is that, if you wanted to, you could go to every game and sleep in your own bed. Rutgers and Maine could be pushing it a bit, but doable.

Re: Recruiting under Sellers off to a good start...

There are so many freshman, one or two are not going to get much if any playing time, so maybe they would be better off as a redshirt? Sellers alluded to the likelihood of redshirts during one of his any interviews he did after he was hired. Which one? I do not remember. But I'm nearly 100% certain...

What JJ said.

It was state/university restrictions. I was told that's the difference between public schools and private schools.

Re: Recruiting under Sellers off to a good start...

I'm not up to date on redshirt rules, but can they suit up for games and as long as they don't play above x minutes or y games, they get to keep their year of eligibility? I can't find anything online, though I believe there was legislation put into place to loosen restrictions and allow players to...

Re: Recruiting under Sellers off to a good start...

Have any on the roster been designated or expected to be red shirts? I would expect some news about that soon. I am not sure about what are the NCAA requirements. They have not, but also there's no benefit of announcing or designating red shirts. Given that they guys haven't been on campus all summ...

Re: Recruiting under Sellers off to a good start...

The CCSU roster has been released on the site: https://ccsubluedevils.com/sports/mbkb/2021-22/roster

16 players! Has there ever been a CCSU MBB roster with a full allotment of scholarship players plus 3 walk-ons? Not one that I can remember. Maybe in the 90s?

Re: Recruiting under Sellers off to a good start...

I would like to have seen Jamir Reid and Myles Baker stay. The others are replaceable as individual players, however losing such a large group in one off season is a big setback for the program. I think we have a guy whose abilities and heart are right for the job of rebuilding this program. I agre...
