Re: 2021 schedule

Yale game is a one and done for $$$ No way Yale ever plays at Arute. Per FBSchedules.com: Northeast Conference (NEC) member Central Connecticut will travel to take on the Yale Bulldogs of the Ivy League at the Yale Bowl in New Haven, Conn., on October 5, 2024. Per the copy of the contract, Yale will...

Re: 2021 schedule

Nice release by SCSU for that one game (they didn't release the rest of their schedule yet). Clearly, this is a big game for them to "play up" vs. D-I Central, just like our big game when we play at UConn next year. Nice job by Tom P. and staff to get this game. All the local papers did an article o...

2021 schedule

CCSU released the 2021 schedule and I love it! Open week one with a home game vs. Southern Connecticut . An intra-state battle vs. long-time rivals on opening weekend should be a sell out. No reason we can't draw 6k+ for that game if the weather cooperates. Even though SCSU remains a D-II program, t...

Re: Oregon Ducks—Friday, June 4

Really good game. This team had a lot of fight. Came back every inning. Outhit a Pac-12 team. Really proud of the job they did. Obviously, giving up 5 HRs to the Ducks and 11 LOB for the Blue Devils was the difference. Get a good night's sleep and be ready for the Gonzaga/LSU tomorrow. CCSU has a re...

South Alabama at Miami (FL) is also a 5pm start that is not working.

Re: Oregon Ducks—Friday, June 4

Army (Patriot AQ) with a very respectable 6-3 loss at #8 Texas Tech.

Black Knights would be a good non-conf opponent next season.

Re: Future Schedules (2021-2028)

I think our schedules have been very good for the most part. Lots of games with Patriot and Ivy League teams. Annual FBS opponents and no D-II/III home games. My only complaint is the lack of any CAA home games. I would like to see some home and home deals with CAA teams. URI plays every other year ...

Re: Recruiting under Sellers off to a good start...

Defense is a must. It is the easiest thing to fix through hard work and schemes. I love that this is his first priority. Keeping opponents off the scoreboard and backboard can immediately make the team more competitive. Like he said in his interviews - offense will come, but you have to focus on fun...

Re: NEC Playoffs

Kudos to Central and Bryant players for pitching in. That field looked awful before the rain, can't imagine what work had to be done. Without a minor league team there, I think Dodd Stadium has gone down downhill. The NEC did everything they could to ensure the games were played - great job by every...
