I really don't think Sellers will be looking at JUCOs anytime soon.

Ostrowski's story is a great one: https://www.miamiherald.com/sports/coll ... 41702.html

However, he doesn't appear to even have played anywhere in 20-21 (he played for Miami Dade JC as a freshman in 19-20). Put up decent #s in his first JUCO season, but it didn't get him any scholarship offers outside of Marshall/CCSU.

I'm hopeful he re-emerges on a court somewhere. Unless there's more to the story (he was hurt or something), I'd find it hard to believe Sellers would invest a scholarship in a JUCO kid who didn't play anywhere last season. I could be wrong.

I think Dev could be one of those slip through the crack guys. He did average almost 30 ppg in high school, though I know that East Lyme is not in a top conference.
I hope that Sellers and staff take a good look at him.
His Dad is an English Professor at, guess what state university?
hint: it is centrally located

JOSEPH Ostrowsky (@jo_ostrowsky1) is the one who has it posted on his Twitter page..."Thank you @sellersanlyzNBA for this opportunity!! Excited to be a Blue Devil"

Ok, so we have JOE coming to Central, but some of us would like to have DEV. Got it!
Takes me a while sometimes.

Joseph is from Michigan and played at Cheshire Academy and is coming to Central as a walk on.
Dev is originally from Haiti, and was adopted by a family from East Lyme, Ct.

A guy with a story like this would be exactly what this program would want. And he grew up in CT... That's what Sellers wants at CCSU.. CT bread players... Hopefully he's been perservering even with the year off. It'd be kinda shocking if he wasn't all things considering (his upbringing)....

That offer was from 2019. In fact, Donyell Marshall was the first D1 coach to extend an offer to him.

Campbell is likely a higher-level prospect than the NEC at this point.

Yes, he seems to be a mid level D1 candidate. He has more than a dozen D1 offers, including three Ivy league schools, Boston U, Rice, and others. I would not be surprised if he goes with one of the Ivy's. He is attending (attended?) Philips Exeter which is somewhat of a prep school for the Ivys.

I missed this from last week, but apparently Sellers signed point guard Davonte Sweatman out of Lee Academy.

https://twitter.com/NERRHoops/status/13 ... 41605?s=20

He's diminutive (listed at 5'7"), but super athletic. We've seen guys like this have success at the low-major level. Had no other offers. Was probably a guy Sellers has liked for awhile.

That's 3 recruits, all from New England prep schools. How many NE preps did Marshall bring in in his five years? 5

Of course it’s difficult to tell how he’ll fair at the D-1 level but some of the HS vids on HUDL show he can shoot the three. Pretty good on D as well...a few sweet pass interceptions.

Good to see Sellers is getting some early traction recruiting wise in such a short period of time.
